Giclée
Giclée is a term which refers to the process of making fine art prints from a digital source. It is normally used to denote prints which have been made using pigment based inks applied to archival quality papers and canvases. Giclée prints tend to have much more accurate colour than standard prints and, providing they are mounted behind glass (does not apply to canvases), are light fast for up to 200 years*1. The quality of a Giclée print is so high that they are often used in museums and art galleries.
Our fine art prints are produced by the Giclée method, using pigment inks on Litho Realistic fine art paper, which provides excellent colour rendition and print longevity.
NEW - Acrylic Printing
Now you can make your exclusive limited edition print even more special by having it printed on the ultra modern medium of Acrylic. Our Acrylic prints are supplied with the spacers ready to hang on your wall and are a perfect style for a room with contemporary decor.
We offer two styles of acrylic print, clear and white. Clear acrylic is perfect for the more creative amongst us. The printed Acrylic allows ambient light to pass, creating a beautiful and unique effect. This is recommended where the print is to be fixed to white coloured walls and in well lit areas. You should note that, unless you have a specific creative purpose, we would recommend White Acrylic.
White Acrylic is backed in a Screen-white UV layer and brings out the best in all styles of photograph, giving the full impact of the colour and detail. White acrylic is more suitable in areas of low light conditions and where the walls are coloured, than the clear acrylic.
When ordering an acrylic print, please specify 'White' or 'Clear' in the comments field with your order.
NEW - Printing on Aluminium
This must be the ultimate way to present your exclusive limited edition print! We have teamed up with the only UK printer currently able to offer this printing method. The image is printed directly onto a metal alloy composite, using ultra-high definition UV cured printing, to produce a totally unique and never-before-seen art piece for your home or office.
We offer both Gloss White and Brushed Silver Aluminium finishes. Gloss White looks great with any image, while brushed Silver Aluminium is perfect for those wanting to experiment a little. Images are printed directly onto the bright metallic surface for the ultimate in vibrancy, giving a truly unique finish to your limited edition.
To round off the quality feel of these prints, the sides are mitre grooved and bent to create the finished Alloy Box. 'Concealed' brackets are supplied to fit the box to the wall, making the Alloy Box look like a solid chunk of metal suspended on your wall.
When ordering an aluminium print, please specify 'Gloss White' or 'Brushed Silver' in the comments field with your order.
Canvas
For a more traditional finish, have your limited edition printed on canvas. We use a modern 250g poly-cotton canvas*2 which is hard wearing and 'sag resistant', two coats of varnish are then applied to make the surface water and scratch resistant and increase the light safe qualities. The canvas is stretched around a generous 1½" frame using a technique which leaves no white edges without losing any of the image. If you would prefer a 100% cotton canvas we can supply these at no extra cost, simply state your preference in the comments field when you order your canvas print.
Warning
Please note that although we make sure our canvas prints are as hard wearing as possible they should still be treated with the same respect you would give to any artwork. Whilst gentle dusting (preferably with a feather duster) will not harm the print we would advise against repeated rubbing or wetting the canvas in any way.
Paper Sizes
Against each print you will find a table showing the iso paper sizes and related actual print sizes. The iso paper sizes are quoted only as a reference, every print will be trimmed to the actual print size quoted. You should note that the print sizes quoted are approximate and canvas sizes may vary dependent upon the sizes of canvas stretcher bars available.
We pride ourselves on the quality of our products and welcome any feedback from our customers.
